Pros: Low cost, reliable connection

Cons: Didn't notify the previous ISP

Comments: Changed from ADSL with Telstra line rental to naked. Neither Telstra or previous ISP received notification of change and kept billing me until I advised them.

Pros: Tech support does listen and tries to work with you. However if you do some investigation and present the findings to them they do even more research into the problem. Overall Tech support is quite good.

Cons: Until you present your own findings support does not go too far into finding out the problem. In other words you have to be an IT person to get them to get off their backside.

Comments: I've been with Amnet for over 17 years and when the service went downhill instead of leaving I complained and that seem to fall on deaf ears. However, once I presented my finding that the link wasn't performing as promised, tech support would try to feed me "you're 3K away from the exchange" as the standard response. It wasn't until I sent them information and threaten to report this to the ombudsman that they engaged Telstra to check the link. It was discovered that the link had faults and then they sent an engineer to my house who further discovered that the cabling in the house was fairly stuffed. My speed went from 870 Kbps to 9.7 Mbps... goes to show if you do some investigation and prove that to them and a threat, you may be surprised that your link speed may pick up immensely.
