Comments: After being bought by TPG support services have changed. Now abysmal service, no assistance when issues arise. Phone ques for technical support are hours long and online tickets are ignored

Pros: friendly operators

Cons: iinet in sheeps clothing.

Comments: I have had my phone, A galaxy note 3 for over two years and never an issue. I have used Microsoft Outlook since the days of Hotmail... never a problem. Joined internode with home internet and mobile phone and all of a sudden Outlook uses 11 GB of data on my phone and I am faced with a $400 bill. Internode reckon it is all my fault and last they suggested I get a free non microsof app to get my messages. A $100 goodwill was offered after telling me that another day of data added another $115.
Absolutely pointless warning system of unusual usage tells the customer 3 days AFTER the event. Internode admitted that Telstra was ahead of the game in this respect and warn their customers in real time. I am now faced with a two year contract with iinet in sheeps clothing. I hated iinet when I was with them several years ago and vowed never to go back with them. I was told that I only had a 10 day cooling down period.
I joined because the reviews were of good customer service. The operators I must admit are generally polite and helpful and easily understood. Shame Telstra can't employ these people. Ah well I have 2 years of completely telling everyone I know and on social media of avoiding iinet and internode at all costs.

Pros: Customer Service, Technical Support and Reliability

Cons: They dont have their own direct connection everywhere

Comments: Love love love internode especially their technical support. Sometimes I can be a bit daft but not once have they ever made me feel stupid (lol). Presales was a very easy sail but I would recommend them 100%. We used them in Sydney and internet speed was very good. We moved down to Vic and unfortunately the line here is being rented through iinet so connection is not as crash hot as in Sydney. Overall Internode is the best broadband company in Australia.

Pros: Great service, uptime, consistent speeds,

Cons: price a little high, tech support is very basic for me

Comments: I am a network engineer and I have been using internode for many years as I have seen many customers have so many issues with reliability, speed, billing and other issues over the years and internode seem to have the infrastructure in place and the engineers to run their service better than most ISPs.
Although this is a positive review, if they drop their service level for me, I will have no issue in churning to another provider.

Pros: Good value, convenient, good tech support

Cons: Could be a little quicker?

Comments: We've only had one or two outages in the last 2 years which were unrelated to Internode. Old lines in this property, so it's probably not fair to judge the speed of connection but it could be a little quicker.

Overall, we get great value and like that we're not locked into a contract. Great for young people who are renting or house sharing.

Pros: decent price

Cons: terrible customer service!!!

Comments: Internode failed to finalise my connection in October of last year. I have already taken two days off work because the tech never showed up on the first day. On the second day, the tech never showed up either but the connection started to work and we assumed they did not need to enter our house. I chose not to pursue lost wages for the extra day I had to take off of work. Recently I have been contacted by Melissa from customer contact centre, whom I will admit is professional on the phone. Iwas told by her that I would need to be home during the week a THIRD time so that a tech can attend. The connection is working fine. I've been paying for it on time, every time. I have had no complaints but if I have to be home a third time, through no fault of my own, I would expect 2 months credit to partially reimburse me for lost wages. Melissa told me that internode would not do that for me and that my connection will not be guaranteed unless I do this. This is completely unacceptable and very bad policy as the issues lie solely with internode and I should not have to personally assume a lose of any kind. I will be cancelling my connection at the end of this billing period.

Pros: nothingver. All you get is someone saying what a great service ou should have. The cotton wool goes in the ears w

Cons: poor connection, really bad customer service

Comments: Internode used to be an amazing service, great connection speed and fantastic customer service. This is non existent now. Don't know what happened but it is the worst service ever! hate calling the help desk as they won't acknowledge that you have a problem. I would not be calling the help desk if I did not have a problem. Most frustrating service, this could not possibly be the same company that I signed up with years ago. Hello Optus, here we come.

Cons: speeds are too slow cost not competetive

Pros: Technical Support people are friendly and patient

Cons: Disorganised, terrible on follow through, inept subcontractors

Comments: I selected Internode primarily based on the excellent reviews so many people posted on this site. Many of my friends said don't shop around just go with Telstra, it's easier and they own all the infrastructure anyway. However I feel like Telstra take their customers for granted and their service isn't anything to write home about if you need to get in touch with them, so when I found people raving about Internode moreso than any other ISP I thought I would give them a go. Plus they offer Naked ADSL whereas Telstra do not.

As it turns out I didn't even get to have my service connected. I have spent a total of three days away from the office to have a wholesaler come out on the first day to confirm a service could be connected, on the second occasion for a preferred cabler to come out to insert a cable between the one to my apartment and the one in from the street, only he was unable to locate the MDF box (which as it turns out is right outside my front door), and then on a third occasion when Internode sent out the wholesaler yet again to confirm that the service could be connected. They of course then wanted me to stay at home for a fourth day to send another cabler out to complete the work.

All this, and calling them countless times, relaying the story each time, and shelling out $283 for a Wifi Router and a cabler who didn't perform any work has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I don't know if this was a typical experience for others who are successfully connected to Internode, but from speaking to friends and colleagues this is not the norm. To add insult to injury Internode initially wanted to charge me an early cancellation fee of $120 - for a service that was never connected - and the latest is they want to charge me for the cost of sending their wholesaler out to confirm that a connection was possible. To my mind just a further insult.

Folks it shouldn't be this hard, disorganised, or require this much time. Up to you - it seems if you can connect the speed is good, but the mess you have to go through, especially if you live in an apartment is not worth it. I'm sorry but I can't recommend them.

Pros: Reliable service with excellent support

Cons: Has become more expensive compared to some other ISPs

Comments: I have recently looked at changing my plan which also meant changing the ISP. It seems some other providers have been offering unlimited Broadband data and unlimited landline calls for the same cost as my current service. (My phone call charges are extra) However, my research suggests these providers typically receive poor reviews for both their service and support. It's the old adage: "You get what you pay for".
From this respect I can't believe Internode is below Telstra on this review list - the way they administer phone support appears to be completely woeful!
I have a fair degree of technically knowledge but have used Internode's phone support on a handful of occassions. I can always be assured that my c.s.r. will be Australian (with very good english) and they will try their utmost to solve my problem. I haven't been disappointed yet. I believe Internode have their own hardware at my local exchange, of which I am less than 1.5 km from. From this I typically have a line speed of between 11 and 12 Mbps. Further, I don't have ridiculous peak/off peak times associated with my plan and speeds are shaped. (Get with the program Telstra). Unless plan prices decrease in value or Internode sends their support service off-shore I'll be sticking with them into the foreseeable future.

Cons: may be a little pricey, but nothing in my experience

Comments: These guys are great, i have been with them for 4 years, only had an issue once with my line when I moved house the line was bad they sent out a tech to check everything and found out it was the problem was at the exchange, didn't cost me a cent. When i have a had a tech issue the have always been very helpful. The call center is in Australia too which is a BIG PLUS to these guys. Before i went to Internode is had tried optus, telstra, aapt, Internode is by far the best worth paying that little bit extra for, i recommend Internode to everyone

Pros: None so far

Cons: Extremely slow set up, appalling customer service

Comments: My husband and I have ordered a plan and wireless set up with Internode more than a month ago. After having been asked to stay at home for technical staff and wait the whole afternoon, nobody turned up. It turns out that they couldn't make their initial date they confirmed but 'forgot' to update us on that. Internode blamed a contractor that was working for them and said that it would take another 10 days for set up. After complaining that this was not acceptable they said they could do it on two days and promised to provide a wireless stick in the interim. None of this has happened so far and we are not being updated on the progress. Instead we get handed from one staff member to the other who keep pushing the blame around instead of auctioning our request.
Overall this has been and extremely unpleasant experience and we're not even connected yet!

Pros: Reliable connection, decent tech support, good value

Cons: higher end speeds not available in my area

Comments: After a terrible experience with iinet, a friend put me on to internode, it was such a relief to find a company that didn't mess around with their customers or insist on direct deposit payment.

They explained the conditions of the contract very clearly and helped me find qualified cabler locally. I initially had a lot of trouble with drop outs, but after a single call to tech support it was fixed and I haven't had a drop out since.

On paper, their deals are pretty much run-of-the-mill with no great differences in value compared to other companies. It their customer service and the reliability of their connection that makes it work for me.
