Pros: No positives at all

Cons: False promises, wrong billing, Horrible service

Comments: Dodo is the most horrible and pathetic service provider i have ever encountered. When i took my connection they offered me 3 months free and then sent a bill next month. After calling and arguing they waived of my bill and next month sent me a bill 3 times. Also they are responsible for connecting upto dcdb and from there to your house its upto you. That is horrible. How can you even say that? If i am buying a connection this means you have to connect my house with internet but nope. I paid 100$ to a private technician for connection. Everytime when i complaint they just beg me to give another chance. Finally gave up my connection and switched to tpg. They offered me 50-100mbps speed at 60$/month and connected my house with internet. I hate you dodo. I hate u so much. Just because of you i have lost 250$ in 2 months.

Pros: Customer service reps are great

Cons: Internet service is a joke

Comments: I currently have an ADSL connection with Dodo, was told we would get up to 12MBPS, but we were lucky to get 5 these days. I haven't had internet for almost a week, after trying everything possible multiple times, tech rep decided i needed a new modem. Got the new one delivered a few days ago, and my internet is still dropping out. Sent an email requesting manager to email me back to negotiate compensation details. Manager that called me back today was rude as all hell and tried to make their $20 credit seem fantastic. I was told our connection would be bang on and we would be able to play games online, stream, download, do business related stuff and have it happening with multiple devices connected. LIES!

Pros: Good sales team that sounds very friendly

Cons: Thiefs, Liars, Ruthless, waste your time, twist your info

Comments: Beware: the sals team do sound very friendly but they promise what they can not deliver. You will end up with no Internet like me and money missing in your account. Lots of time wasted on the lengthy calls that lead nowhere. After they take your money always in advance and sign you for the longest contract possible. They will make you wait without Internet for 20 days, send all technicians to holidays at once and refuse to refund your money. It took over 2 months of phonecalls to finally break the news to me that they are keeping my money for nothing they did nothing for me apart for stealing and lying. The worst company in Australia. Do not even think about it!

Pros: have not had any issues

Cons: have not really had any

Comments: I wanted to give a review based on the fact that ive had good service and speeds, when i asked for tech support online i was called about 20mins later and operator was very helpful. Remember that people dont hesitate to give bad feedback, so theres always more of it. Experience of service will change from one location to the next, there are many factors that go into providing telco services. Make sure you check availiability of services, distance to exchange etc.

Pros: Friendly staff, eager to help. Reliable connection, am seeing 90% what i'm rated at

Cons: None as yet

Comments: Aussie Broadband have given me no reason to be unsatisfied yet! Their staff has always been friendly, but i've never tested their technical support (as i've had no problems!) I can download at about 90% of my rated connection, which is much higher than i was anticipating. I realise that is area specific tho. Definately recommend.

Pros: No positives

Cons: The worst company ever.

Comments: Spintel website advertised ADSL + home phone line at $49.95pm, so I put my address into confirm service address & again it listed $49.95pm. When I received confirmation of order it stated $59.95pm. When I rand to query this price, I was told that the $49,95pm plan was not available at my service address even though the website said it was available when I provided my address. I begrudgingly agreed to proceed with connection. Iwas told that because I had disconnected my phone from Telstra I would have to pay a $59.00 fee to reconnect phone line, to which I agreed, but have just received my 1st invoice which states that a $59.00 fee was charged & paid for, but it also charges a new phone line fee of $299.00. I rang to have this corrected, the girl on the phone was nothing short of a rude bitch. She told that she would put in a disputed fee claim & that it would not charged until resolved. We'll see. At this stage I don't believe anything Spintel tells me. It took 21 days to have phone line switched back on after placing order, a task that the website states to take 1-3 days. This was done be the Telstra guy flicking a switch at the exchange, did not come to our address to check the line as stated the $59.00 fee was for. After taking so long to connect the phone, I rang Spintel to ask where my modem was that I ordered for $69.95 + $15.00 delivery? They told me that a modem had not been shipped yet as I had not paid for it. Strange, since it was on the order confirmation they sent me originally & the cost had been authorised by me in the same order with the phone line. After discussions on the phone, a modem was received by courier within 4 days. Followed the instructions to connect it up, would not connect. Rang Spintel technical assistance, after 45 minutes of doing various checks & tests, I'd had enough. Told the technician to put me through to his Supervisor after not ageing to Spintel's voice terms & conditions to log a service call to have the line checked. (The t&c's basically stated tht Spintel could charge me $150.00 for lodging a service call regardless of fault & absolved Spintel of all responsibility). The Supervisor had no customer service skills whatsoever & I'm sure didn't know what he was talking about. Anyhow, service call was organised & while I'm typing this I just got a text stating that the issue has been resolved. Still haven't seen any type of technician though. I don't believe the issue is fixed, I'll have to wait & see but I won't be holding my breath. My advice to all. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR SPINTEL. THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

Pros: Nothing positive comes from being with TPG except for unlimited data bundles.

Cons: Takes your money fast, extremely poor customer service, the list goes on.

Comments: Honestly if you want to be ripped off, they're the best in the market for that. Service is unreliable, constant drop outs, constantly being reassured that my service would be fixed. I lost count of how many technicians they sent down to fix the issue (which never got fixed) and customer service representatives sounds bored and very unwilling to help solve your enquiries. Please do yourself a favour and avoid TPG - spend your money on a company with better reviews and service.

Pros: Used to be good. No positives

Cons: Worst tech support, South Africa call center have no idea what they are doing.

Comments: I've been with iiNet for 12 years. They used to be the best - fastest speeds, best tech support. Now... Let's just say, I'm about to switch to another ISP. When you call tech support or billing, you get someone in Cape Town South Africa (oh and the wait time is usually 1 hour). They are pathetic. They have no idea what they are doing. One time, a tech issue, the operator tried to sell me product instead of fixing the issue. All they care about is making a sale. TPG (the owners of iiNet) are the reason for all of this. They only care about money. iiNet used to be about service, not anymore. Apart from all of that, the speed is not what it used to be. I was getting between 18-20Mbps (awesome), now I'd be lucky to get 10Mbps. Even with a brand new (2 month old) PC, the speed issue has not changed. I believe it's due to them cost cutting and not putting money in to upgrading infrastructure like they used to (before TPG took over). I would NOT recommend iiNet to anyone. Worst service in Australia.

Pros: Provice cheap modem

Cons: Very long hold times, poor support service

Comments: Signed up to iinet NBN service and it has been the worst decision made for a long time. I do not get the speed I am paying for, and iinet is not interested in finding out why. Ever time I call the "help desk" it takes on average 90 minutes for some one to answer the phone. If you use the call back service (if it is available) it can take up to 5 HOURS for them to get back to you. When one the "friendly customer service agents" does contact you, they either have no idea how to fix the issue or just hang up on you.
If yo can, do not use iinet (or TPG). go with a cheep provider. You wont get any better service, but at least you will not be stick paying a premium price a poor service with slow speeds

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Customer service , Poor installation

Comments: I paid for my monthly start up fee and installation on the 2nd of April. It is the 19th of April and I still have no internet connection. I am paying for a service I have not been able to access! The installation process of my internet was yesterday and I still have no access to my internet. I have no been told that I will have to wait for a technician phone call regarding the lines in my apartment. Why isn't this tested upon installation I need internet access today not next week. Also in regards to how late the modem was posted I am disappointed. I waited two weeks for installation date this is poor service.
I waited on the phone for an hour after customer service apparently conducted 4 tests only to be told they will send a technician.

Pros: None

Cons: Lies, Contradictions, Poor Service

Comments: We arrived in Brisbane a month ago and just wanted others who are arriving to know that we had an absolutely terrible experience with trying to get connected to broadband with Telstra, we opted for them as they are the biggest company, and I needed connecting to broadband quickly for work. However, they have consistently lied about when we would be connected; receive our router and when our Foxtel would be connected. Every single person we have spoken to has pretty much contradicted everyone else we spoke to and we were no where being connected after almost 4 weeks when we were told we would be connected within 48 hrs! The pathetic excuses and damn right lies and contradictions were incredible, which like them I told them I had recorded as proof. They made my awful experience with BT look good! We have cancelled and cant even get that right! my initial though was gross incompetence, however I believed they lied about cancelling us, as we have just received an email saying we have just joined a new entertainment package when in fact we have just cancelled one! I think it is a vain attempt to keep us on or charge us! We shared this with colleagues at work and it seems Telstra are renowned for this! they said it would likely be the worst experience we would have with a company in Australia!!
We tried Optus and we were told our line is RDSL which apparently means that Telstra owns the line and that they have to pay Telstra to use the line! and this meant it would cost us an extra $40 a month on top of their standard product! So we searched the net and came across Nextalk, they only use an Oz based call centre which after our experiences with Telstra was most welcome! I have to say from the minute we spoke to them it was night and day with the service we got from Telstra, they answered all our questions before we asked them as if they knew what we would ask! I was sceptical about the promises they made, however they delivered everyone of them! It was truly amazing, they told us when we got connected, within 3 days! and we did it in 2! they gave us an approximation of when the modem would arrive (3-5 days from order) and it did arrive on day 3, and with tracking notification via text. We bought their modem to avoid any potential aggro which was similar priced to shop bought ones but with theirs they can dial in to if you have any probs. It was plug and play and indeed it was, when it worked I kissed the modem today!! nextalk don't do Foxtel but I've noticed most of the programmes we like Blindspot, Hawaii 5'0 and madam secretary (Sky programmes) are available for free on the main channels, we've seen an advert for a Fetch box which adds extra channels so will look into that. Also for some reason, nextalk don't need to pay the premium Optus has to! So as we are now connected to the internet I just wanted folks to know about our experiences!!
