Comments: Still no internet. Over 2 months. Called 5 times. On hold over 1 hr each time. They have billed me over $300 dollars for a service I have still not recieived. Trying to cancell order and get fee cancelled. Still trying after weeks. Today they tried to say it was my fault after prwviously acknowledging it was thiers.....DO NOT USE IINET. LIERS AND NOT A SERVICE PROVIDER

Comments: I've been with Spintel for nearly 2.5 years and still happy. There is sometimes problems with the ADSL when it rains but apart from that, no problems. Speed is still good enough to stream Netflix. Was on a 100GB plan for ages and just recently upgraded to 500GB plan because I'm watching a lot more Netflix.

Cons: They lie and each service consultant gives a different answer

Comments: They have a so called "free zone". but it BS... they charge you for it most of the time. I even tested the theory. I unplugged everything and only put Netflix on for 2 hours. then the next day I logged into my account to see I was charged over 2GB. I brought this to their attention. But just got BS answers from every consultant. I was spending $20 to $60 extra per month for extra data packs. Plus home phone has never worked here for 18 months. I am on the phone to disconnect now and move to Optus.

Comments: What a nightmare Optus NBN technical support team is to deal with. I have issues with my NBN for the past week. They have sent a new modem still no go. Every time I have called Optus ( 5 times and counting) you’re on the phone for at least 1 hour or more with no solutions only promises to call you back but never do.

Comments: Hi, I was using DODO with ADSL. I was moving out of city so asked DODO to disconnect on certain date, even i wrote an email with date also. But it got disconnected on the same day without any reason. They accepted their fault and send me new SIM with dongle(USB). but they took 8 days to activate the SIM, so eventually i was without internet for 15 days that too without my fault other than taking DODO service. I am writing an email to them but no response.
Please please stay away from DODO.

Comments: Had been with Westnet for years and was fine until iinet took over. Unreliable speed and connection and they acknowledge this and won't let me out of my contract, continuing to charge me full price for a less than adequate service.

Pros: Prompt replies to enquiries

Cons: Now all support is from overseas. Continually poor connection speeds and drop outs. A real issue with children doing their 11/12 exams

Comments: Used to be a great company until bought out by TPG. Service is now very hit and miss and moved offshore.
We will never get the NBN. We live 12kms from the city centre and are not even on the 4 year plan list. Our suburb is an internet blackspot. There has never been an upgrade to our system and the number of access points in the suburb is set, no matter how many new homes are built. This is a Telstra issue however.

Cons: Installation took forever!

Comments: I decided to switch to iiNet after being with Internode for over five years. iiNet was advertising a "12 months half price" promotion when you signed up to a 24 month Cable contract, that would save me about $1000 over the two year period.

I called and signed up, which was very easy. The first installation appointment was booked for a week later. The contractor who came did the internal wiring, but still had to hook us up to the grid. Unfortunately due to misinformation, that second appointment took over two weeks to be completed.

However, the team were always polite on the phone and applied a $50 credit to my account. We've been up and running for two weeks and I have noticed an improvement in both speed and reliability. iiNet dropped out regularly (possibly due to an old model) but iiNet hasn't had a single outage. If I could do it over, I'd still make the switch.

Comments: Never sign contract with TPG. Internet was very slow, sometime disconnected. At the end of the contract I told them I did not want to renew contract. They kept taking money from my bank account without notice and charge cancellation fee. That's disgusting.

Pros: It looks cheap on paper

Cons: Pathological liars and the closest thing I've seen to brain damaged chimps running a successful business.

Comments: They'll say literally anything and offer absurd discounts to sign; but then you'll see the contract sent out with the wrong price, and additional charges for things you'd explicitly clarified and asked about (line rental).

Don't expect to just say you're not accepting their terms and going with another provider though. They'll call you for weeks, multiple times per day even when you answer and say you're not interested. If you explain why you're not touching their garbage and went with another provider they'll ask if the lines connected yet to keep trying to sell you on their dumpster fire of a service.

Finally snapped and started calling back and the second option on their IVR is the do not call register, and their own internal DNC register. I've never come across a company that was so blatant in its harassment that they offer the do not call register as the SECOND OPTION in the menu.

Seriously, pay the extra $10 and go with a decent provider, even TPG is less terrible than whatever Dodo is.

Comments: Stay away from TPG! You have been warned.

This nightmare of a company promised me a nbn connection within 2-4 business days as I had a modem and nbn into the house already. After taking my money i heard nothing from them for a month. Constant calls to check on the status, I kept getting told I would be contacted by their tech support. No modem had even arrived.

I got tired of waiting, bought an iPrimus modem from AusPost and was connected in 5 days. I canceled TPG and received a confirmation email detailing no charge. 2 days later they illegally charged my credit card and refuse to refund me. Calls get bounced around, hung up on, emails of no help. I have had to dispute the transaction with my bank.

This is just a tiny snapshot of my dealings with TPG.

STAY AWAY FROM TPG.

Comments: I have been with iinet for 6 years (naked DSL) this month and every contact with them has been a good experience. Hassle free, will upgrade you when a better product is released.
