Comments: Dodo is the most horrible and pathetic service provider i have ever encountered. When i took my connection they offered me 3 months free and then sent a bill next month. After calling and arguing they waived of my bill and next month sent me a bill 3 times. Also they are responsible for connecting upto dcdb and from there to your house its upto you. That is horrible. How can you even say that? If i am buying a connection this means you have to connect my house with internet but nope. I paid 100$ to a private technician for connection. Everytime when i complaint they just beg me to give another chance. Finally gave up my connection and switched to tpg. They offered me 50-100mbps speed at 60$/month and connected my house with internet. I hate you dodo. I hate u so much. Just because of you i have lost 250$ in 2 months.

Comments: I currently have an ADSL connection with Dodo, was told we would get up to 12MBPS, but we were lucky to get 5 these days. I haven't had internet for almost a week, after trying everything possible multiple times, tech rep decided i needed a new modem. Got the new one delivered a few days ago, and my internet is still dropping out. Sent an email requesting manager to email me back to negotiate compensation details. Manager that called me back today was rude as all hell and tried to make their $20 credit seem fantastic. I was told our connection would be bang on and we would be able to play games online, stream, download, do business related stuff and have it happening with multiple devices connected. LIES!

Comments: I wanted to give a review based on the fact that ive had good service and speeds, when i asked for tech support online i was called about 20mins later and operator was very helpful. Remember that people dont hesitate to give bad feedback, so theres always more of it. Experience of service will change from one location to the next, there are many factors that go into providing telco services. Make sure you check availiability of services, distance to exchange etc.

Comments: TERRIBLE SERVICE. I sign back to Dodo because i have had them before and went back as i still had my email accounts with them. Well what a big mistake. Its been two weeks since i switched over and i can not access my emails on my computer, Iphone, Ipad and samsung phone. WHAT A JOKE. Before i switch over from anothor carrier to Dodo i had full access to the emails

Pros: I have had very few problems with line service or dropouts etc.

Cons: None that I can really think of

Comments: Have been with dodo for about 6 or more years and moved house several times etc.
Would only be a handful of days over that period that I didnt have the internet. Changeovers were always pretty quick. Quicker than I expect anyways.
Had a line fault at the front of my new house from a bad junction.
They had a dude out the same day to fix it and all was sorted.
Im counting down the days to NBN which is about a month away and have no hesitations in using Dodo again.

I read all these complaints and feel like some people just don't know how to negotiate life. I have always had quick response times for support and have never been over charged etc.

I think people go into these scenarios all raged up and expect a better outcome because they're angry.

Comments: Hi, I was using DODO with ADSL. I was moving out of city so asked DODO to disconnect on certain date, even i wrote an email with date also. But it got disconnected on the same day without any reason. They accepted their fault and send me new SIM with dongle(USB). but they took 8 days to activate the SIM, so eventually i was without internet for 15 days that too without my fault other than taking DODO service. I am writing an email to them but no response.
Please please stay away from DODO.

Pros: It looks cheap on paper

Cons: Pathological liars and the closest thing I've seen to brain damaged chimps running a successful business.

Comments: They'll say literally anything and offer absurd discounts to sign; but then you'll see the contract sent out with the wrong price, and additional charges for things you'd explicitly clarified and asked about (line rental).

Don't expect to just say you're not accepting their terms and going with another provider though. They'll call you for weeks, multiple times per day even when you answer and say you're not interested. If you explain why you're not touching their garbage and went with another provider they'll ask if the lines connected yet to keep trying to sell you on their dumpster fire of a service.

Finally snapped and started calling back and the second option on their IVR is the do not call register, and their own internal DNC register. I've never come across a company that was so blatant in its harassment that they offer the do not call register as the SECOND OPTION in the menu.

Seriously, pay the extra $10 and go with a decent provider, even TPG is less terrible than whatever Dodo is.

Cons: Extremely slow internet speed

Comments: Internet speed is so inconsistent...to the point it can be average for a few mins to drop out for hours on end at reidcuslously slow speeds, (even with Google opened on one device...). Night times are the worst, the Internet is so slow you struggle to load messenger or a simple webpage. Along with that the days are nearly as slow. Absolutely disgusted that they charge people for the slow services and Internet speed.

Comments: I joined with Dodo thinking there wifi deals were really good value a lot cheaper then Telstra. I received all my stuff quiet quick connected up easy. I've had trouble ever since I said to them I wanted wifi to connect with Netflix that's the only thing I'll use it for & all it does is drop out all the time really slow & then they tell me my speed isn't very high or some crap!! well why the hell did you put me on this plan. Now there trying to fix the problem apparently ringing me everyday but I'm still waiting for it to be fixed I don't see the point in paying $69 a month when I can't use the damn thing!! Absolute crap!!! Wouldn't recommend to anyone.. Is there a way to get out!! I'm really disappointed I didn't just go with Telstra.

Comments: Signed up for an ADSL2+ plan, working ok for a while then one day I came home and I could not surf the internet - it redirected me to the Dodo website which said I had exceeded my data limit. This came as a surprise since I had an UNLIMITED plan. Called tech support, they asked me 5 minutes worth of ID verification questions...then transferred me through to another person who...asked me those same ID verification questions again - tech support didn't have anything productive to say except switch off the modem then switch it off again. I had to go after half an hour so arranged Dodo to call me back. They never did. I called again, and after half an hour on hold, finally got through to a 'Level 3 Technical Support' person who asked switch off the modem then switch it off again- after 1 hour of switching it on and off they finally admitted that it was a known network wide issue which they were working to resolve. Why wasn't they just disclose this at the start!??!?! It would have saved a lot of my time!!!! 5 days later, Dodo still have not resolved the problem, and multiple calls to their tech support area have been useless. I have terminated my contract with Dodo as a result, as I need internet which works. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM GOING WITH DODO - MY EXPERIENCE IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLUELESS TECH SUPPORT!

Comments: I have been sold their internet product over the phone as no lock-in contract, but after few months I have just logged in and have found I am in a 24 months lock-in contract. I called them up they said I have to pay $'s to get out of the contract. Please be very careful while you talk to DODO over the phone, because their sales agent will give you one offer over the phone and then you will be asked to wait for their account (contract signing) people to call you. They will read out lenghty T&C's for you and you may miss the word contract there 7 they will hold you for 24 month contract. I still regret the day when I switched from TPG to DODO. Not recommended at all.

Pros: Dispite what are the comments here I can say we been with dodo for 6 years and hicups here and there but they fix it up and always willing to help

Cons: 10 min wait time for customer service and no customer service on saturday and sunday which is most of the time is my day off

Comments: as long as you are nice to the customer service people they are willing to help out and the sales department is just really for sales but no biggie. I wish DODO put customer service people on Saturday and Sunday that will be nice and for the technical team thanks for being there always. we moved our service all the time sometimes 3 times a year and dodo has the best respond time compare with other service provider that friends use hope you keep it up.

Comments: I am like everyone else here. I have been with Dodo for over 10 years and initially when they kept taking money out of my account and overcharging, I cancelled the credit card so they bill me and I pay each month and never had a problem. I have phone internet but only use internet. Then my internet speed was very slow and I was getting 0.3 to 0.64 mbps when the website says its up to 24 mbps, after 6 weeks they sent Optus out to and they fixed this but he said even though I am 2 kms from exchange the best I will get is 7 or 8 mbps NOT 24 as listed. I was getting 7 mbps until Easter and back to 0.64 and of course cannot contact anyone at Dodo. Also looked at car insurance and the sales person said if I took up the insurance they would give me one months free internet/phone usage so I accepted and they said they have emailed the account dept. I just got my bill for $74.90 and spent 40 minutes with Dodo going from department to department, first to Tech dept because they thought I want a credit on slow internet, another did not understand or speak English well so I went online and discussed with a Stephanie and she said I have to phone car insurance section who then said no and went backwards and forwards. And now they only want to give internet credit of $29.90 and only after I have had the policy for a month. I am about to ditch all phone/internet and car insurance with this company. They have declined so much it would be hard to even rate them

Comments: The worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Impossible to get into contact with customer service, call three of four times, go through automated service, wait on hold for 40minutes, then get disconnected, this goes on for three or four attemps. Internet cuts off on a weekend and there is no way to contact customer service on a weekend. Didn't authorise direct debit, yet they continue to direct debit account every month. When you finally do get to talk to someone, they are rude, repetitive and unwilling to resolve issues.

Connection droppings has always been at the peak.
Worst service..
Technical support always recommends to reset modem n it takes ur 30-60mins from ur precious time everytime.
They tell different story everytime but none can fix the problem permanently. ..
So all i can suggest if u dont waste ur time money energy n good mood then never ever go with shit dodo....

Comments: Worst company ever, incredibly slow internet, supposedly ADSL2+ but barely 2mbps download speed, shockingly unreliable connection, cuts out all the time.

Customer service is appalling, advisors speak poor English and try to give you idiotic reasons why your internet isn't working every time you call up, after waiting on hold for over 10 minutes. Just full of lies, telling me my username has changed or my modem needs resetting instead of just providing me with the service I pay for. Every time it reconnects again for a time after I call.

This company is a scam, they charge excess usage fees as well instead of just dropping your bandwidth so watch out for extra bills!

Worst company ever, just stay away!!!!

Comments: Don't do it! The prices may be enticing but the service both customer and products are terrible. I Installed ADSL Internet service from dodo in 2015 and it was a bloody nightmare. It took hours of phone calls which even took me over my phone cap for the month. That never happens! After approx. 8 calls (each call an hour minimum). I am locked in a 2-year contract, can't afford to terminate it as they charge a lot. I would not have ended up paying them $69.80 a month from my credit card for such a shit service. I am furious! Who knows how many calls it will take to solve my Problem? I can bet that even third world countries do not have such a poor team than dodo has. I have been continuously reporting issues with my ADSl from September 2015 and its Jan 2016 now and nobody in Dodo gives a damn care.
