What real customers say about Dodo

Customers generally appreciate the value Dodo offers, with several reviewers noting good connection reliability and sufficient speeds for various household uses, including streaming and working from home. The initial setup process, particularly for new fibre connections, was also praised as smooth and efficient, with friendly and fast customer service technicians.

On the negative side, a recurring complaint is inconsistent connection, with some customers experiencing frequent dropouts or speeds lower than advertised. Long wait times for technical support were also mentioned, making it difficult to resolve issues promptly. With only 8 reviews so far, this picture may shift as more come in.

Summary generated 20 August 2026 from 8 verified reviews. Refreshed automatically as new reviews come in.

Drops out

The internet drops out constantly, to the point where I regularly have to use my phone as a hotspot just to keep working on my laptop. I work from home, so having a reliable internet connection isn't a luxury—it's essential. It's incredibly frustrating to be paying for a service that I can't depend on.

Decent when it works

Very responsive to enquiries, decently fast connection

Unreliable sometimes even when theres no NBN shortage

It's a pretty solid budget internet option, it’s cheap, unlimited, and fast enough for streaming, browsing, and working from home without much hassle. Speeds are generally decent for what you pay, though it’s not the fastest out there, and occasionally I have lost network without explanation, it's usually solved within a couple of minutes but there has been 1 time where the internet was out for an entire day.

A great savings to begin with if changing your service from another provider

easy set up from previous internet FTTC to FTTP

terrible waiting times to speak with customer service, online support is challenging to navigate

It was nice to change to a provider who set up the equipment with FTTP as part of the package, the customer service technicians were friendly and fast with their work. The connection has dropped out a few times, and I have had to give up on receiving assistance as the wait time for support has been over an hour on the phone.

Value for money

Customer service

Customer service interactions have been poor with long wait times and miscommunication. However, their pricing is the best on the market and is great value for mid range NBN plans.

Customer service now terrible after 20 years with them

Must have a sense of humour to try mess me around a fourth time and expect me to fall for it.

Terrible customer service now, internet continues to drop out

Tech support is hopeless now. 1 real problem in over 20 years and they keep stuffing me around. Book nbn to check home setup, doesn't show book a second time for Wednesday only to call Tuesday, next day and say nbn can't find a fault and cancell the case.
Call to cancell they arrange another modem and nbn home visit for Monday only to call 2 days later and try to arrange another home visit further on saying no visit already booked, .asks to return a modem I received that day. I don't think I'm delivering your stock anywhere. Come collect it
Not fooling me for a forth time dodo.
